Why is my first thought that I want to print these photos and display them in MY house 🤪 Wouldn’t mind these words on my walls either. A sign of stunning art. So so beautiful, Ashlee! Thank you for sharing. P.S. How do I get you to Ireland to work your magic in my home?! (Not sure we’ve ever seen the sun here so maybe not quite the photographers dream!)
🤣 true story: it is my DREAM to become a traveling photographer. Would need to book 3-4 sessions in any area to justify the travel. Although might need more like 10 to get all the way to Ireland 😅 never say never! *adds to bucket list*
Please hop across to England when you’re there as having you photograph my family would be a dream too 😉 I believe in you and your dream so much, therefore I’m already excited that this will happen one day! X
These are STUNNING. I’ve been following you for years and this work is just as beautiful as your writing. God is at work through the creative lens he’s gifted you with! So inspiring to see your journey unfolding. I dabbled in photography for a few years before having kids, and these are exactly the kind of images I yearn for for my family. The beautiful chaos and beauty of the mundane in my own home. You mentioned above you’d love to someday travel and do photography. Any chance you’d venture down to the Los Angeles area? I’d book you in a heartbeat!! ❤️
Kimberly! So humbled by this comment. Also, Los Angeles is a one-hour Southwest flight (!) and definitely doable. LET'S CHAT (eek!) 💫 ashlee.gadd@gmail.com
These are gorgeous images. They truly show the magic that is in every seemingly "mundane" moment. Makes me want to take more pictures of my kids on our own simple life.
If I ever make my way back to Chicago, let's do this, yes? I can say this confidently: it would be very easy to take pictures in your house for 6-7 hours.
Ashlee, these are beautiful!!! You’re creating the best kind of art. Photography is so personal and unscripted- you’ve captured her family’s magic. These are perfect.
These images are so STUNNING. Beautiful 😍 Your description of discovering that this is the kind of art you want to create reminds me of the deep joy that that writers and artists often described in the romantic era.
I can see it too. The beauty of motherhood, of life, jumps off of every photograph. Your second act is pretty clear, at least from the perspective of this on-looker :) ❤️

This is the best compliment, Mary. Thank you!
These photos are so beautiful and display the holiness in the mundane.
