If Jill Atogwe says the jean skirt is a go, then I support it 😏😏 but i can’t bring myself to do it, it’s giving conservative bible college vibes 🤣🤣

Legit LAUGHED OUT LOUD. I accept this feedback. (But also, if I pair it with a tasteful crop top, does that change anything for you?! 🤣)

Same!!! I can not bring myself to wear denim skirt no matter how cute I think they look on all the cool gals. Always and forever Baptist Bible college vibes

I was trying to edit something, and instead accidentally deleted my reply comment. Sorry for being a super awkward commenter, Sophie and Ashlee 🫠. Forcing myself to put my phone now now, lol.

Ok, but what kind of jeans ARE we supposed to be wearing?? On the hunt for a new style and I feel lost, which feels so wrong because I literally sold jeans at The Gap for two years in college 😂. Also, is it just me or is it really hard to find something without a raw hem?? Like, why? *crisis rant over*

It really is such a struggle! And just when I find the right jeans I like, I can't figure out how to pair shoes?

Kendra Kruckenberg's avatar

YES. This is a big part of it. I can get on board with the relaxed fit, but WHAT SHOES DO I WEAR??

The jeans situation! I’ve never been happier to see the flare/bootcut back “in style” but now to find a pair that actually fits!

I just shared with a friend that I secretly like to hear when other parents mess up because then I don’t feel so alone. Crushing it alongside of you. Also, VERY fun when my worlds collide-- shoutout to @ElizabethJanuzzi and her wonderful gift of words! 💛

That denim skirt is so cute, and now I need a Zara shopping date. Also, laughed out loud at the gyno reference.

I've been devouring the Thursday murder club series - so good and so fun!

Well this was a delight and much needed laugh. What I’m wearing: joggers from Soma. What I’m reading: Mother Daughter Murder Night. What I’m cooking: beef bourginon (https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/beef-bourguignon-recipe-1942045.amp). Just bought my first wide leg denim.

Ina’s recipe is the best recipe! I make it for hubs every winter, but this year he learned to make it on his own--double win!

I'm halfway through Ken Follett's newest novel, Armor of Light, and it is a delight as always. And tonight I'm making SkinnyTaste's sweet potato beef stew, one of my very favorite winter recipes! 🥰

AHH the horror! This makes me feel better for dropping Chloe off at school in regular clothes last Friday because I thought it was a non-uniform day. It wasn't. She refused to take her coat off at school and her teacher contacted me and asked me to please bring her a change of clothes. SIGH. I'm just right there with you, friend, in the *crushing it* AND in the not having any food even though I'm always grocery shopping. I started wearing my mom's old Wrangler denim midi skirt last year. I love the length of yours!

Oh sweet Chloe. The horror. If it makes you feel better, about four weeks ago I legit forgot to pick up Carson from school. Those dang early-release days. He was standing outside IN THE RAIN. Actually not my first time forgetting to pick up a kid but it was the first time I forgot in the rain 🫠🫠🫠

This is a hilarious story, Ashlee. The kids will probably find it funny one day.

In high school, my parents and I both thought we had off for Columbus Day. Guess who showed up to school the next day and learned that, nope, school was open! 🙋🏼‍♀️ I’m sure my mom felt like she was crushing it as well.
